Despite being cute this dolls are not so popular among collectors. They are usually very inexpensive toys and each one is fitted with squeaking mechanism inbuilt into it. Different companies have different approach towards making rubber dolls and they offered them with a unique style. There had been trend of composition dolls in ‘20s, later on dolls with rubber legs and then later entire rubber bodies were produced.
Earlier American character took the credit for introducing the rubber doll and later introduced toddles in 1931 which had composition head and soft rubber flexible body on a steel frame. Later an all rubber dolls were introduced in market. Dolls made out of hard rubber look similar lot to composition parts but they can be clearly identified by detailing of the modeling like curls on head and lines in palm. Vintage Rubber Doll were mostly popular until they were replaced by plastic dolls.
